Xenium X530 - New Flip Phone from Philips Featured Long-lasting Battery

Mar 17, 2009
Recently the Dutch electronics giant, Philips, unveiled its Xenium X530 flip phone. In fact, the phone was created by a Chinese company that acquired the mobile division of the Netherlands-based company.

Because the mobile phone is part of the Xenium series, the X530 features a long-lasting battery that offers eight hours of talk time or 850 hours of stand-by time.

The most impressive feature of the phone is probably its design, which is rather simple but at the same time quite futuristic in both cases when flipped and when it's closed.

Among the mobile phone's functions one may find a 2.2 inch internal TFT display (240x320 pixels), 262,000 colors and 1 inch OLED display found on the external side.

Other features include:

- Tri-band GSM/EDGE connectivity (900/1800/1900 MHz)
- Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
- Music player
- FM radio with RDS
- 2MP camera
- NXP 5210 chipset
- 99.1 x 47.1 x 18 millimeters

The phone will most likely be commercialized only in European and Asian countries. There's yet no information regarding the device's price.
