The Tokyo-based multinational corporation, Toshiba, recently announced its brand new 16-inch notebook, which the company claims will be highly appreciated by movie-lovers. The Japanese manufacturer dubbed its new gadget Toshiba Satellite A350, which features a 720p HD monitor with a 1366 x 768 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.

Toshiba's new notebook incorporates speakers developed by Harmon Kardon. Despite the fact that Satellite A350 can boast a dual-layer DVD burner, some users will probably feel sad due to the absence of a Blu-ray drive in the notebook.

The device is available either with an Intel or an AMD processor. The company's most inexpensive notebook from this series has 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800, while the most advanced has Core 2 Duo P7450 running at 2.13GHz.

Toshiba Satellite A350 features a 4GB DDR2 memory, with 8GB being the maximum the notebook can support. At the same time users may choose between 250GB or 350GB hard-drives. As for the graphics then users may also choose between the Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD chipset and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650.

The notebook also features a 1.3-megapixel webcam. Battery life of the Satellite A350 may hold up to 2hrs 15min on models with integrated graphics and about 1hr 55min on models with ATI graphics. There are three USB 2.0 ports, one dual USB/eSATA, VGA output and S/PDIF. In addition, there's a memory card able to support several formats. The notebook also has an ExpressCard slot.

The price for the Toshiba Satellite A350 may rang between $ 732 and up to $ 1,037.
