Sony Ericsson to Launch PSP Go-like Smartphone Powered by Android 3.0

Rumors say that Sony Ericsson is currently working on a PSP Go-like smartphone that will be powered by Gingerbread (Android 3.0) gaming platform.

The slider phone looks like a fusion between Samsung Captivate and the PSP Go and the main target audience is the gaming fans.

It would be interesting to note that the new device from Sony Ericsson will include a WVGA resolution touchscreen display that will be between 3.7 and 4.1 inches. In addition, the handset will feature a landscape slide out game control panel.

Sony Ericsson Presents XPERIA X2 Handset with 8.1Mp Camera

Sony Ericsson recently unveiled its new XPERIA X2 model that boasts a 3.2-inch touchscreen and an incredible 8.1 megapixel camera. The dimensions of this model are about the same as its predecessor X1, but the current smartphone is lighter and its developers decided to redesign the keypad so it would look like a netbook one.

PlayStation Phone Features Leaked in China

Although the much anticipated PlayStation Phone did not reach this year's CES, a Chinese website called IT168 revealed that the device will be launched under the Xperia brand name and will come with a new game launcher called the PlayStation Pocket.

According to the online source, the PlayStation Phone will boast a 4-inch 854 x 480 resolution screen, micro USB port and include a Qualcomm Andreno 201 GPU.
