The tech giant Samsung has recently presented its new smartphone running on the company's own operating system called Bada. The "super-AMOLED" GT-S8500, also called the Wave, was unveiled at the 2010 Mobile World Congress. The device measures 3.3-inches and features a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Among its most interesting tech specs there are:
- 5Mpx camera with LED flash;
- A-GPS;
- Bluetooth 3.
The phone allows accessing the Web HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) at 3.6M bps or 802.11n. Besides, you can customize different home screens as you like thanks to the interface that is based on TouchWiz 3.0.
The Wave also has a built-in support for such social networks such as Twitter and Facebook in its phone book. Samsung is not only the author of the operating system for its new device, the company also created the phone's 1GHz processor.
The body of the phone is made of aluminum and is 10.9mm thick. You can search for this phone in European stores starting this April and the price for the device is expected to be $ 436 (320 Euros). It is worth mentioning that Samsung did not give any information on whether the Wave will hit the stores in the United States.
