Panasonic Unveils Toughbook H1 Field - A Tablet for Tough Conditions

Recently Panasonic unveiled its new tablet PC, which, however, is anything but usual. The Toughbook H1 Field is a tablet that can be used in harsh conditions.

The device targets maintenance workers, medics and marines. The new tablet from Panasonic has IP65 and MIL-STD-810G certification and boasts a 6-foot drop rating.

It features a 1.86 Ghz Intel Atom Z540 processor, 2 GB RAM, 64GB SSD and a 10.4-inch dual-touch display. In addition, the Toughbook H1 Field has a GPS receiver, RFID reader, WWAN and camera.

For those who wish, the tablet can come with an optional Qualcomm Gobi2000 mobile broadband.

The battery can hold for 6 hours. The price of the tablet is $ 3,379.
