Importing MPG into Final Cut Pro X with ProRes 422 MOV format

MPG is NOT a proper editing codec for use in FCP X, so you’d better convert that to Apple PreRes 422. Pavtube HD Video Converter for Mac does this. And yes, file sizes will increase compared with the original size, because ProRes 422 is less compressed, better suited for FCP X editing.
