The year 2010 is when the Gundam plastic models (aka "Gunpla") celebrate their 30th anniversary, which is why the company decided to come up with a special cell phone, which also comes with a robot model and a dock. It is worth mentioning that Gundam Models are model kits that illustrate the mechas (walking vehicles) and characters from the fictional Mobile Suit Gundam universe. These kits are most often made of plastic.
It was revealed that Softbank, a Japanese cell phone carrier, is going to launch a Sharp 12.1 mega-pix OLED "Gunpla" cell phone, which is expected to be available this summer.
The flip-flop phone will come with a 1/100 scale Gundam model kit.
