Dell Reveals Its Smallest Multi-touch Rugged Convertible Tablet PC for the Military

Recently Dell presented the Latitude XT2 XFR - convertible tablet PC that can boast a multi-touch screen function. The new device has a 12.1-inch sunlight viewable screen as is available for $ 3599.

This is the smallest rugged convertible tablet PC in the field, being just 1.5-inch thick and weighting 5.4lbs.

The heart of the device is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It also includes 5GB of DDR3 RAM and you can choose a 4-, 6- or 9-cell battery.

The tablet PC can be equipped with additional hot-swappable modules including GPS and webcam.

Since the tablet PC was developed for the military, it can withstand moisture and dust. In addition, the incorporated QuadCool Thermal Management System will be able to survive in severe temperatures.
