CrunchPad Prototype Revealed Featuring Intel Atom Processor

Apr 10, 2009
This is a prototype of a tablet that features an Intel Atom processor and a 12-inch touchscreen.

Besides being much thinner than previous devices, this device got an Intel Atom processor instead of VIA Nano processor featured in other models.

The touchscreen should be rather easy to use. In addition, the tablet runs a more efficient software base that uses a traditional Linux variant and WebKit-based browser, which require only 100MB of space.

The tablet carries on with paying more attention on complex web browsing. It includes 4GB of storage for content, a camera for taking pictures and filming video on websites that support them.

It also has a USB port for peripherals. There's no physical keyboard so you'll have to use the on-screen on to type texts.
